Adventurous anime recs? I just caught up on Daima, and now I'm craving more ADVENTURE.
Are there any good adventure anime? I've watched Gurren Lagann and Full Metal Alchemist already. I rate both highly.
Already did Inuyasha, and Samurai Champloo.
I really don't like that weird loli/shota dungeon crawling anime.
I LOVE time travel stories, but I've watched Stein's Gate already.

What do you have for me?

Alright. I'm going in blind. Going to watch it without checking descriptions or trailers. I'm a little afraid by the fact that there's "reincarnation" in the title. I guess it's an isekai. I have been avoiding that genre. So I guess this will be my first. I hope it's good.

most people would tell you that the protagonist is immensely annoying in the beginning (which is true, for the most part), so try to keep that in mind for the first few episodes
I'd recommend watching at least the first season before making a final judgment

UGHHHHH. This story is getting dragged down by the meta narrative. If they played this straight, then it would be a lot better. They could still have the kid reincarnate, but remove the inner dialogue, so it's a mystery what he's thinking. The audience would know why he's learning at an advanced rate, without the cringe commentary.

The Light Novel is finished, and it basically follows the protagonist from his reincarnation until he's about 80~
It takes a while, but eventually he grows out of that phase

I just find it really cheap.

No, the streaming page shows the release date, which is listed as 2021. Just having a general understanding of animation, one can reasonably estimate that the production happened the year prior. So it was around 2020 when "you hate to see it" was a popular phrase. My estimates could be off, because I didn't consider that I was watching dubbed. The dubbing could have happened closer to release, or later. So there's a window of time by about 2 years. Which really doesn't change much.

This was all figured out in 2 seconds btw. I'm typing out the process, because you're slow, and seem to think knowing dates to things requires an "investigation".

Yes, I'm watching the dub. I didn't complain about the voice actors. In fact, they're alright. The narrator sounds kind of old, but that's not a problem. My complaint was about the writing, and style of humor they're going for. Which your screenshot doesn't alter much. They translated the subtitles differently, but it still get across the same context. That the protagonist is looking at her from his neet horny gamer perspective.

I just selected a show at random. Parry Everything had a really good first episode. It feels like Mushoku Tensei, if they actually played it straight like I wanted. And while the mechanics of the world are gamey, there isn't a narrator pointing it out every 2 seconds. So it's more immersive. The main character is also a lot more likeable. A kindhearted guy with an underdog story. I'm going to continue with Parry Everything and see where it goes from here.

Yeah, I'm a long time Dragon Ball. Watched it all back to front. I'm happy with what Daima is doing. Shame Toriyama died, because who is going to continue Daima in Season 2 and beyond? I'm sure they'll continue the show as long as it make them money. But will it have the same feeling without Toriyama to guide the rest of the staff?

Anyways, being retarded is fine. Watch Eminence in Shadow, it hits the marks you seem to desire. This is a serious suggestion despite me calling you a retard, my share ratio on a first season torrent is approaching 300x. I stopped all the Mushoku Tensei torrents round 20x, and Parry Everything round 2x.

I did not. I left the request fairly open. World building was not asked for. I only asked for Adventure. Adventure can come in many forms.
OP characters don't bother me, as long as it's handled well. But neither am I specifically looking for OP characters either. What I'm currently appreciating about I Parry Everything, is the interesting application of the character's abilities. The humor from having such a ridiculous skill set. And the goodhearted message underneath it all. It has a good understated tone, that isn't hitting you over the head with how zany everything is. While Mushoku Tensei couldn't stop with the "US OTAKU ARE SO PERVERTED, AMIRITE, BROS?"

Like I said before, I really don't enjoy litRPGs. That extends to Isekais, which suffer the same problems. So even shows that work by game logic are not typically to my taste. This one show just happened to pull me in. It should be considered the exception, not the rule. So I don't know what Eminence of Shadows is. But if you seriously recommended me something based on the idea that I'm into gamey power wank, then surely you're mistaken. Do you want to rethink that recommendation?

I watched Hunter X Hunter. It wasn't bad. All considered, it was enjoyable. A bit overrated though, if you ask me.

Mushoku Tensei began publication in 2014, and the anime is pretty faithful. Also as >>1498882 pointed out, Rudyeus' character changes (because spoilers), intentionally as his start point is

He doesn't seem "worthless" to me. He teaches himself a new language, and diligently learns a new complex skill. He's eager to be tutored, and even has some passable amount of charm, despite emulating what he learned from visual novels. He's probably going to end up being overpowered with a harem or something. Doesn't seem useless to me. He's just horny all the time, and referencing nerd things like an episode of big bang theory.

Also, it's not "nitpicking" when it's the main character's personality we're talking about. I don't think you know what words mean. And it's not my fault that otaku pandering isekai slop became popular.

3 episodes into Mushishi now. I'm really liking this show so far. Looks like it's structured in standalone stories. But I'm expecting an overarching plot to show itself eventually. That's just typically how things go. But I'd be content even without an overarching plot. The tone is really good.

The one thing I find peculiar however, is that the three first episodes all features kids that don't really act like kids. They're too understanding and articulate. I guess that saves the annoyance of kids acting retarded like kids normally do. But it's strange.

I doubt it. Personally I don't watch anything past GT, and GT already feels a bit less. Seeing Vegeta wearing an apron in one of the later shows made me realize I made the right decision.

But to best answer your question: with the death of Toriyama comes a conclusion/ending. So you are limited to rewatching the old stuff. But you could try playing (story heavy) videogames to still capture the magic if you want. Picrel is one of my favorites, it's an ARPG of the android/cell saga. It is like you are playing the tv show. Although part of a trilogy I recommend that one since part 1 is bad (3 is okay). I heard Kakarot was good too but haven't played it yet

Also, I'm noticing how detached it is from the modern world. It's all done in super rural areas. Which I guess helps sell the mysticism. I really like that. But I do wonder just how many rural places this man can visit before he visits them all.
