what are some efficient methods for practicing? i feel like i take too long solving pretty much every exercise. for context, i have a calc 1 exam in a week, so i'm solving lopithal, rate of change, optimization and asymptote related exercises.

Getting a PhD in math was the single biggest mistake of my life.
What useless skills. No one, rightfully, respects it. All everyone says is "oh I hated math in school," and all the job prospects boil down to postgrad or reskilling (programming).

Needs substantial relearning and internships, I didn't even do the useful kind of math, ie computational.
I'm salty because I've been lied to, math isn't as cool as OP's pic makes it out to be.

totally unrelated to the OP, but I have a friend/neighbor who has been on a total math bender for the last week or so. He thinks hes found a more efficient way to calculate something. I learnt calculus by doing the exercises from my high-school textbook.

Maybe how you approach each problem or practice session, because i feel like being good at it it's not only a matter if you do practice, but how you do it. That's where i feel my worst weak point is but can't pinpoint what's wrong
