How to block New Tab popups on iOS

on sites like Myflixer you get bombarded with new tab pop ups. I have ublock origin on desktop and it works fine, I don't get them there, but any adblocker I try on iOS just doesn't seem to work with this? any help?

Can you not use the mobile version of Firefox on iOS? It has uBlock Origin support.

don't know if it has the same issue, didn't occur to me to try it. Have u tested myflixer on it to see if it gives you new tab pop ups?

meant to say uBlock Origin is built in or not, but I just tried myflixer there and it's just riddle with ads. i see no way to turn on Ublock in the settings?

It isn't enabled by default, but it should be in the settings under 'Extensions.'

Yeah the iOS app is very different then cause i'm not seeing "extensions" under settings =\

Sorry man, I guess you're out of luck then. Blame Apple for restricting stuff like that on apps that are available through their app store.

idk if ios has this but android has adguard (i think you posted its logo). It's a system wide adblocker that works on browsers and all apps aside from youtube (you can use youtube revanced for that, not sure if ios has that). If these don't work try brave or firefox

Adguard and firefox don't work. Brave seems to stop the new tab popups, but the site just breaks now? you can't search anything, it just redirects you to the front page (talking about myflixer) so idk if there's a setting i'm missing.

you have to install a certificate when you first open adguard. Did you do it (on android you have to save the certificate in a folder then you have to select it later)
