Hi /wsr/. I am a retard that fell for a phishing scam. I was hoping to talk with you with regards to any potential damage or repercussions regarding this.

At the time two years ago I was on my Android phone. I went through the pages in the link until I reached a screen that said I needed to be on a VPN to view the page, and I then closed the page. Immediately afterwards my phone started to overheat and the battery started to drain faster than normal. I then factory reset my phone twice but the battery draining persisted.

After that I started to just use my phone as normal; I connected it via USB to my car and connected it to a wifi network with Apple devices and my Windows computer. Eventually I decided to get a new Android phone to assuage my obsessing mind but the battery draining issue has persisted on the new phone. Eventually I accidentally connected my new phone to my Windows computer via USB (I know, retard) but didn't do anything and unplugged it immediately. I consulted with bleepin gco mputer.com and they said they couldn't find anything on my computer.

So, is it just an Android virus? Is there no way to escape this considering my phone has been connected to the wifi network with the other devices on it? I have been thinking about starting fresh (getting an iPhone, new computer and peripheral devices, but NOT replacements for the Apple devices) but would that even make a difference? Am I just doomed to never be able to escape this virus and never own an Android phone again? Do files and other things I send from my phone and computer automatically have the virus embedded in them?

I don't really know how stuff like this works and the "unknown" of all of this is honestly driving me crazy. "They" haven't done anything at all except for adding me on an app once and talking to me briefly. I am hoping to get some advice to help ease my mind. Thank you for your time.
