I have an old iPhone 6 that won't charge, reboot, restart, or turn on. Today, I just got an iPhone 15. I was wondering if anyone knew a decent program that can pull the data from my old phone so I can restore it to my "new" one. Thanks.

That's not something you can do without hardware access. If the phone doesn't boot then you have to either repair the phone or at least get access to the memory chip directly.

No software can help there when the phone cannot even turn on, so you need to go to a repair center to recover the data. It's like trying to get a reply from a sleeping person. If it doesn't wake up first asking more questions won't provide any answers.

I did find one called Disk Drill that was able to read the hard drive via USB cable. It's expensive to upgrade to the "pro" version that actually recovers the data. I was just curious if anyone knew a better way. Thanks for the reply.

Can't you just go to a phone store and ask them?
Most of them have some pretty cool technology in the back rooms we don't get to see.
Ya know, they crack open a phone, place the board on some fancy machine that bypasses the power supply and acts as the screen, including touch control, and hey look there's your data.

I really don't know. I called the Apple Store, they said there's nothing they can do if it won't power on and you can't unlock it. It's a verification issue I believe.

I only told them what's going on with it. It won't turn on, charge, restart, reboot, screen stays completely black no matter what I do. It won't receive calls or texts, emails, nothing. So yeah, pretty much "entirely broken"...

It's only through that third party program that I can see the files. iTunes doesn't recognize the phone at all and nothing happens when I plug it into my PC. The guy at the Apple Store told me they have no way to access the data unless I can turn it on and unlock the phone.

Yeah, I was trying to see if there was a better way to do that than using this Disk Drill and paying $80 for a one time use.

There are better/cheaper data recovery apps than Drill Disk, not that I can name them off the top of my head
But, full stop. If you can connect your USB cable, and that program can detect something, it means your phone works. What's broken on it? Probably the screen, maybe the battery is trash too. Plug it in and charge it for 6 hours, then connect it to your computer and try to turn it on and do random gestures that resemble unlocking

Why would that not be possible?
Question is just if it will be useful.
Everything is encrypted, but you can pull the encrypted files/containers.
But even if you know your unlocking codes you don't have the key, they are not equal, the master key got created when first adding yourself as user and go connected to your unlock credentials, but it is unknown to you.
