I need a new e-mail provider, one that's actually reliable.
I've been using gmail for years, but one time I had to sign out from one of my accounts, and when I tried to login again they held my account hostage and started asking for my phone number for no reason.
I also have proton accounts, but they required existing e-mails to be created, so if something goes wrong I assume I'm gonna have to use those secondary e-mails.
Then I heard about tutanota, but the e-mails eventually get deleted if you go for too long without logging in.
So I need something that's not going to pull any surprise doxxing bullshit, with an account that works independently from other services, and that's not going to delete my stuff. And that's free as well. I just want a reliable e-mail that's not going to eventually fuck me over.
