Help with a small repair at home.

No.1506671 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Basically these images are from one of the stands of a big ass old table at my parent's house.
The "male" part of the screw (which is on the table itself) seems to have snapped at some point and now the remaining "knob" is not long enough to properly screw on the detachable part that houses the female part of the screw. (Side note i have no idea why it has a detachable part).
With the amount of "knob" remaining is enough to couple both pieces but they detach as soon as there is any vibration or movement of the table, which happens when they move the table to sweep etc.
My current idea is to fill the female part of the screw and cover the knob with some sort of putty glue, like those 2 component glue sticks. Im hoping thats enough as the detachable part doesn't really get moved around, it only has to hold through a bit of vibration whenever the table is moved.

Is there any other idea that im too stupid to have thought of?
Gonna add a couple pictures on the next replies.
Thanks for any help and please disregard any grammar mistake, English is my second language.
Merry Christmas anons!
