>install new RAM in my PC for a long overdue upgrade
>PC turns on but seemingly doesn't boot >monitor doesnt show anything but the keyboard RGBs turn on (making weird wavy motions they normally never do)
>the RAM specs match my motherboard specs (DDR3 and 1600hz)
>fan and other things like the graphics card seem to work fine
>reinstall the old RAM in hope of a temporary fix
>the exact same thing happens
What's going on here and how do I fix it? The computer was running just fine yesterday and I'm at a loss. I get that you have to wait sometimes for the computer to fully notice a hardware change but not for a whole hour.
Specs (I haven't upgraded anything in over six years, bear with me):
CPU: Intel i7 4790
MBoard: Asus B85M Gamer
RAM old: 12gb, 2x 2gb defaults from my old PC, 2x 4gb Crucial Ballistix
RAM new: 32gb, 4x GSkill Ripjaws 8gb
Graphics: Geforce GTX 1070
Power: Aerocool Strike-X 600W
Also the keyboard is a Corsair K70 if that helps
