Hello. I'm from Bangladesh. Bangladesh is one of most retarded countries that still doesn’t have Paypal (& also, crypto is illegal here lol). These days it's impossible to work without Paypal. I had a friend in Europe who was kind enough to dedicate his sim / phone number for me to open a Paypal. I did. But due to "Strong PSD2" crap, every time something major needs to be done, got to verify via SMS otp. Specially logging into the app after a long while. I get it, Fingerprints work, but not always when you don't log in frequently. Every time asking for SMS OTP is not ideal since a distant friend doesn’t wanna get tied into loose favours. You can understand.

What's your take on that? Asking since recently I've figured out there are "Virtual" visa / master cards. Why not "virtual" paypal?

Second question, not too out of the loop. Is it possible to get "virtual" sim from different country? Which will help me to get SMS. Is making & getting calls a thing? Not in need of that much. Such virtual sim might help me to register over sites like Weibo, where BD is not available as selectable option.
