Trying to get back into metal. One of my favorites when I was younger was thrash, especially Megadeth. No other thrash band seemed to have the bite and punk energy they had back in their heyday. Would love more brutal riffs that have that hateful energy along with lyrics about black magic and shit.
I also really like all of Slipknot, Tool, Pantera and Deftones (metal with lyrics about feelings/relationships and the like) as well as the classic 70s stuff like Judas Priest and Black Sabbath
