Consider an analog video scaler that scales up to 1080p and can even inject HDR into the signal. Scalers limited to 1080p are often reviewed to have a point against them for not scaling to 4k. If I have a 4k tv, why does it matter that the native input is only 1080P? Would it really affect the already upscaled signal?
