I've bought 3 DVD collections now from eBay to have so I can still watch them if the WiFi is out, as well as having a tangible copy of them. Issue is, these last 3 all have discs that freeze on certain episodes even though they're brand new, still in the wrapping when I get them.
>don't want to keep spending money on more copies in the hopes I'll get one that works
>don't want to have to pay 5 different streaming services to watch them (not to mention I'd be at the platforms mercy if they remove them)
>don't want to buy them off YouTube because then I don't have them if the WiFi is out
Is pirating my only option? A big draw was having my own copy with all the cool featurettes/commentaries and the nice packaging
It's worth noting my laptop is almost 10 years old and I'm wondering if I'll still have these issues if I get a new one with an external disk drive
