Please recommend Japanese games with emotional stories and great art and engaging gameplay, basically like anime but in a video game.

Is xenoblade a good series for this? Last game I played that was the most similar to it was Nier Automata and I've heard people praise xenoblade with some similar words to what I experienced in Nier. I could never get into JRPGs but if they meet the criteria then recommend those too.

Also looking at 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, if someone played it I would appreciate their opinion.
