The Windows on my laptop was corrupted so I had to reinstall. The only way I knew how to save my files was to go into recovery mode and use the command line to copy my files to an external hdd. But it seems I somehow made some invisible files and folders in the hdd.

I have reinstalled the OS and it's working fine but I can't see or access the invisible files and folders on my external hdd but I know it's there because it's taking up space. It's not hidden because even with the explorer set to show hidden files and folders, there's still nothing.

Are there any file browser apps I can use, preferably portable ones because all I want to do is see those files and folders?
