>>1515111Haha yeah, I introduced zod (The creator of the discord server) to the mystery when a friend of mine sent the old youtube upload in a server I was in. He started up the server to centralize the search effort a bit, and try to document the lyrics best we could hear past the bitrot. Zod figured out that the numbers on the price tag from oxfam tracked down to a location in nottingham, and we contacted everyone named "Owain" in nottingham we could find on facebook, one of them was actually him, he was a bit embarrassed at first cuz the music is from when they were all teenagers lol, but he joined the discord at got back in contact with Andy and Shaun. The original drummer John is still M.I.A. apparently last he was seen he joined the army, I hope he's ok.
I remember searching google for "Panchiko" and it had like a few hundred results and they were all 4chan archives/reddit posts about original threads or typos of Pachinko. I've met the band too, super nice guys that are very appreciative of their community. I was stuck outside the venue where I met them and I wasn't allowed to come back in after leaving, and when a staff member told them that a founder of the discord wanted to meet them they came outside to meet me.
Being at a live show and hearing a stadium of people singing along to songs that nobody else cared about a few years ago was the most surreal experience of my life, definitely the coolest thing I've ever been involved in.
