the T480 has 2 batteries. the external one you can even hotswap without turning the machine off. the internal one you just need to unscrew 2 screws. typing this from my T480 btw

Dell Latitude 5420s are probably the best all-around bet right now in terms of price, performance, battery life, keyboard quality, and ease of repair. A shit ton of them were bought by corporations for COVID remote work and are being offloaded. The person I bought from on eBay sold me one that had a seven-and-a-half-hour battery life, came with a charger, and a clean OS with ZERO bloatware, out of the box. I was a tech at a university and repaired these easily.
