what browser should i use? i used firefox but i don't like it anymore. i want a faster browser that i can get extensions on. is ungoogled chromium good in that regard?

Ungoogled chromium is great. I switched it it from opera when that got screwed. It has all the extensions.

Which version so you use? I use the one from woolyss or something.
In the settings enable JavaScript JIT. You can also enable it for specific sites in the left hand side drop down on the address bar. If that doesn't solve it, event enable webgl too.
