TTRPG actual play

No.1518453 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Recommend me good TTRPG actual play on youtube/some podcast to watch/listen to where everyone has a good mic, and people do good roleplay without constant of uhhhmm, ahhhmmm, emmmmmm. Preferably not D&D nor any other overly heroic epic power fantasy where losing is next to impossible so any encounter bears next to no intrigue.

Good as immersive. Not joking around too much as if it's drinking table eg ChaoticNRB(aka Chaotic Neutral) do it all the time, I don't find naming PC as a guest or joking about shit from first minute that entertaining.

And "good" as something where something happens. I've listened to couple campaigns of The Apocalypse Players, they feel immersive, sound quality is amazing, they can speak, they don't joke too much, listening the first time is absolutely mind-blowing, but after couple times their campaigns feel the same: some shit happens, PCs trying escape doing next to nothing but try to escape and avoid interaction with the horror, some PCs escape, some die, some are not lucky enough to die. I understand PCs are squashy, but if escape is all they do in several campaigns, it not that interesting.

Good as not overcrowded, eg Critical Role, as you need to remember dozen of names since the start(6 players, each has a name, each has à nám̃ê for a PC, with a nickname if you are unlucky)

Preferably something from Blades in the Dark or similar game as "with consequence" is in its design, players can retreat and often must as failing a heist is always a possibility.
