Still having delusions of there being a major or even minor party who would defend the freedom of expression, constitution or any higher standard is absurdly wistful thinking at this point. They might have slightly different arguments for their hatred towards anime and manga style artwork, but they both absolutely do want to get rid of it and replace it either with nothing or some absurdly horrid abominations that don't look attractive or beautiful in the least.
The real issue isn't that it might be depicting something mistaken as real or concrete belief that it would fuel someones desires leading to actual sexual abuse happening to someone, but it in itself being better than what is considered real.
