Are there any Win11/File Explorer gurus around? I've been having a "View" related issue for several months now.

If I go into a folder - let's say "My Documents" and I lay out the 'view' how I want (Large Icons, Sort By 'Date Last Saved'), that view will not save/stay. If I close that browser window and immediately open it again, it will be to some other Layout and some other Sort By. I can choose other Layouts and other Sort By options but they will not stay/save. Basically every time I open almost any folder I either get lucky and the view is what I want or I have to re-modify the Layout and/or Sort By.

Also, this issue happens with ANY folder. So yes, it happens on typical Windows folders (Audio, Documents, Pictures, etc) and it happens with folders I've created, or folders that were installed with a program, etc. This issue is NOT segregated to "folder contents type" (like, no it doesn't only happen with folders with/set up for Videos). And also, these forceful view settings occur for folders that I have had set, and have shown the view I want, for years.

I wish I could list all the things I've tried. In my vast Win11 ignorance, it's like there's some "memory" of view settings that's either full or can't be saved anymore, I don't know. Can anyone help, please anons?
