I would like for you to recommend me some games & puzzles that you would consider "essential" to have.
For example, I believe everyone should have a chess set and a standard deck of playing cards. I'm wondering what other games you would place on the same level of importance.
As for puzzles, I don't necessarily mean jigsaw puzzles, but I mean more like Rubik's Cubes and whatnot.
Other criteria:
>no TTRPGs (otherwise I would've made a thread on /tg/)
>no TCGs or anything that involves microtransactions (ideally, the game should be playable and fair & balanced after one purchase)
>no video games
