Something weird is going on with my AVR, the remote use to work for it (for the past 2 or 3 years), but recently it doesn't seen the AVR responds to it anymore, checked the batteries and did the other things the manual recommends but it just won't respond to any button anymore except for those on the AVR itself, AVR is a Marantz SR8015 and the remote is the RC045SR

Open your phone camera in a low light area and aim the remote towards it. Then press each button to see if the remote is sending a signal correctly.

If nothing lights up change the batteries again and see if anything changes. If after that it still doesn't light up the IR LED might be dead or the remote no longer works.

If you see a light check the AVR on the point where the signal goes in. Might need some cleaning to receive the signal correctly.

Sometimes it's the crystal, sometimes it's a capacitor.

My old phone would see the IR, my new phone must have a filter on the lenes and won't see IR.
