I don't know what you specifically like, so just go to the big download site of ancient DOS games and download the ones that look good to you. Many of the companies either don't exist, or the companies actually allow the ancient things to be downloaded out of good will. Sometimes, if the abandonware is "too popular" a desperate company will UNabandon it. But generally, you can download the working game for free at:

Might and Magic was a cool RPG series with very unique and original world. The first 5 games are on DOS. If you get filtered by the first game, start with the third one.

Also, most of the games listed in this thread have open source recreations for modern systems by fans that play better than the original e.g. openxcom

There's an excellent channel on JewTube called OldAndNewVideoGames, and despite the name, he deals almost exclusively with old games and he's got several "best of DOS era" videos that are excellent, if you can stand his accent.
