Record Twitch live streams currently airing from the start?

I know how to record Twitch VODs.
I know how to record Twitch live streams.
I do NOT know how to record Twitch live streams that already currently airing from the start.

A streamer i follow refuses to upload VODs and i don't think i know of a tool that can record a stream from the start, just from the moment i start recording.
Does such tool even exist?
