this thing has started happening in the last year or so with is:
whenever i play certian kinds of games (modern 3d games it seems) by screen randomly disconnects, like the HDMI connection ins't there anymore (says so on the screen before it goes black) and even if i take the cable out and plug it back in it remains disconnected and cant reconnect, so i cant see anything but my computer is still running perfectly (i can hear sounds and whatnot so nothing is like frozen).
Oddly enough it only happens when i play modern 3d games it seems. I can use my PC just fine and i can even play games like runescape no problem but as soon as i open a modern 3d game my screen will disconnect within 20 minutes or so, always, never fails to do so.
What could cause this? perhaps the card is overheating or something? any way to fix?
