I bought an MSI lappy a few years back cause I'm a fucking idiot and long story short, I managed to empube one of my fans. Now, while I can certainly order a new one from mainland taiwan, I don't have the patience to not play dwarf fortress for 2 weeks.

My question is thus: what are the limits of the sort of fan that can act as a ghetto replacement for "Aavid thermology (doesn't exist anymore) N425"?
