tech support help: tried switching from Win7 to Linux

No.1527683 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I finally decided to switch over to Linux, rather than be forced to use Windows 10. So, I installed Archlinux following the steps in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiG2wMkcrFE
Everything looked like it installed fine so I restarted... and it keeps pulling up Windows Boot Manager saying Windows failed to start. So I go onto the BIOS (motherboard Z68A-GD80 (G3) ) to select UEFI file to boot from and it keeps saying "there isn't any BIOS file in this USB key(root folder)". I've tried going to MSI's website to download the updated BIOS files and put them on a USB. Same message.

Is it possible to use Linux on this motherboard or do I need to revert back to windows 7 and just stay with that OS until it's no longer usable? I really don't want to use 10 if I can help it.
