So anyone with experience moving to new discord accounts?
I am trying to close my current discord account so I can start over on a new one, but I want to use the same phone number.
When I tried to remove my phone number (with a verified e-mail) from the one I want to delete, it forced me to reverify my phone number (bringing me to pic related) in order to access the account again, which means I can't delete my account unless A. I just delete the account with the phone number still attached to it, or B. I change the number to something else and then delete it, freeing up my phone number in the process.
I am however uncomfortable with doing B, and I wouldn't mind doing A even if I have to wait a month before I can use the number again (takes 2 weeks to delete the account fully, and another 2 weeks for the phone number to be freed up), but I have read contradictory reports about this.
Some say they were able to verify their number a month later, others say they could do it almost immediately, one person even said it takes up to 2 YEARS before you can reverify with the same number.
Anyone on here have experience with this? How long did it take before you could use the same phone number on a new account? I am stressed out as fuck right now and want to get this sorted as soon as possible.
