I installed Win7 on my old pc and while it runs smoothly, sometimes it just gets stuck loading shit for AGES.
For instance, booting takes several minutes.
The installation process was so slow I thought it had crashed. I had to wait for about 10 minutes for the "choose language" window to pop up.
Why? Here's my setup, it should be more than enough:
>Asus P5KR mobo
>700W PSU
>Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (super powerful)
>8 GB RAM (DDR2)
>4000 GB HDD (a bit more modern than the other parts I think?)
The weird part is that under actual load it performs pretty well but some menus load for ages.
