Kind of sucks that it shipped with a butt fucked firmware that stopped it from reading 4k discs when it was supposed to so I had to flash it to an older version in order to do that again, but other than that it works great. I hardly ever ripped anything with it though, but I'm sure if could do well if I wanted to.
I mean, you could just go with a no name one of Amazon and be allright.
Specifically though if you're trying to rip specific types of discs, I'd recommend Googling for some forums on emulation and see what others have tried and tested. Sometimes it's hit or miss on the models all across brands.
I'd recommend just downloading shit that's already been ripped and look at your discs as true backups but I assume you're set on doing this yourself.
