Mix one part sugar with one part Borax soap powder, melt it on the stove but DON'T burn it. Then let crystalize and scrape it out. Then grind it up into smaller pieces an ant would carry back to the nest and feed the Queens. Queens die then all drone ants die. Ant nest goes away. Takes a while but results are permanent.
Otherwise, thrown all that old sugar out. Bugs shit and piss too you know. Unless you like eating that stuff...in short, buy new sugar and put it in sealed containers in future. This goes for rice, cereal and basically anything that has an opening in it. I even put chips that are opened in a plastic container. They stay crisp longer anyhow that way.
