I bought a bunch of old photo equipment and im interested in where the companies that made it are today.
The piece i cannot find any info is a HAUCK MT 60 timer, on its back it says that its made by "Hauck GmbH" in western germany. Searching this online gives no results related to a company that had anything to do with photography in the past.
Another model made by this company is also featured in the first picture in this wikipedia page https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belichtungsschaltuhr
It seems that its also related to the Kaiser Fototechnik GmbH but at which point in time this connection or merge was made or if it went beyond reselling i don't know but i would like to also. And i cannot find a similar timer in Kaisers manual archive.
There is also this patent https://patents.justia.com/patent/4059954 whose site suggests that it falls under the "Hauck GmbH & Co. KG." umbrella but they don't mention anything related in their history page and its probably just the automated system also being confused. It even recognizes that "Hauck GmbH & Co. KG." and "Hauck GmbH" are different names. Searching for the inventor listed in this patent returns "Hauck 8016 Feldkirchen De GmbH". Still, no info about sadly besides the name.
Any lead or maybe even a link to this elusive company is very appreciated. Feel free to post sources in german if you think that they might be relevant.
