This is an advice post, but I felt I probably couldn't put it on /adv/, which is why I'll ask here.

I have a Lenco L70, picrel, that has

>working motor
>tonearm has electricity passing through it
>speeds working
>stereo still functions

Should I take it into a shop before investing in a new headshell ?(I need a different one for technica styli, this one has an outdated cartridge)

Is there anything major that could be broken that I may be overlooking? I genuinely don't think I need it to be serviced beyond just the headshell.
