I have a comfy gif I saved that is broken, Im not sure if the image will appear, its a portrait gif, with some telephone poles at night.

Its very blue looking. Does anyone think they have this gif they could reupload for me?

It's a series of jpg's for some reason? Maybe that's normal for pixiv

thanks anon! I got the image and finally the artist looks like they made a bunch of my favorites.

I also tried saving it as a gif by renaming the file gif at the end but it still doesnt move.

If anyone has thisn original as a gif please post so I can save it mine broke since I got it in 2016 must have suffered the dreaded bitrot :(

It's an ugoira. It's a series of jpgs in a zip with variable frame timing controlled by a script. The idea is to create a replacement for gif that has the larger color palette of a jpg.

so how do you think the original anon poster made its size so small at around 129 kb? the resolution looks the same but its somehow smaller, less frames maybe?

By uploading the original GIF instead of recompressing a sequence of JPEGs.

How exactly is it broken? Unless 4chan's processing fixed the problem with your local copy, there's nothing wrong with it.

It seems to depend on the file name I noticed if it works or not, under the original name at top of thread it just appears blank for some reason, if I had an a or b or b1 to the end it suddenly works again. then if i take off those characters it stops working, not sure why it works I just leave it with extra characters in the name now.
