I thought that too, but I want to use the effect more than once with different images. It would be annoying dong it every time.

Stoopid question on my part and solution to your Problem
Aint that deep into it but e.g. blender has modular editing (See pic related, just as example in how they connect effects differently) that way you can chage the sauce but keep effects
On the other Hand, linear editors can do quite similiar if you put the effects in extra layers

Well fuck. I do use blender, but I wanted to work this on davinci alone. That being said, I found a video which explain exactly this

The problem is that the result is different, and I think maybe is due too version (is 7yo the vid.) If you can do it, maybe is an error of my part.
