Been trying to get into comics recently and need some recs. I used to read Mirage TMNT as a kid, but haven't dived into comics beyond that.
Some manga I like if it's any helpful for determining my tastes in story:

it's one of my favorites :) it really takes off after around chapter 5 when the artist takes over as writer (since the original left)

And, does Gunnm include having read the sequels (of the manga)? They're both great

It's funny, I actually picked up Monstress at a local comic book store out of impulse on wanting to try something outside of DC and Marvel, and it amazed me. I only have the first compilation volume, but the rest is on my radar.
Sweet Tooth I had no idea was a comic first, I've seen pictures of the show here and there, but I'll give that a read. The art looks really wonky in a good way, if that makes any sense.
I Kill Giants will probably be the first of the two I read though, Image comics has really impressed me with what they've got under their belt.
