Boomer parent got a 2019 MacBook pro that is apparently bricked. Took it to repair shops that can't fix it. Told her it's a power/battery issue and it's not worth fixing.

She uses it primarily at home, what can I do to turn this into a desktop machine? Or is this impossible since they decided to hardwire batteries and prevent running off of a power adapter? What would you do in my situation? It's only 6 years old...
