The break even point is about 30 minutes. If you're cooking the small amount that can fit in an air frier and it's less than 30 minutes, the air frier probably uses less energy. If you're cooking for more than 30 minutes in an air frier, like if you can't fit it all in and have to cook two batches, regular over is cheaper.
Depends on temperature too. At 180 degrees C the break even point might be a bit longer than 30 minutes.
