Unfortunately they broke up earlier this year, but The Pillows is an easy recommendation, they’ve been around since 1989, have 22 albums, and are most well known for their songs being featured in the anime FLCL. They’ve played multiple times in the US at conventions, but unless they get back together, I’ve probably missed my chance to ever see them live.
