I do agree they are retarded in selecting and submitting to scum men, but men are often in similar situations, sticking to an emotional chameleon out of desperation and denial that they were tricked.
The difference is probably that the scumbag men don't hide their poor traits and women still pick them, whereas guys pick women who perform as nice girls.
