Basically, you need to learn how to draw "properly" first. I guarantee you that's how your favorite manga artists (you do have a few, of course) started out: just proper form, proportion, shading, life studies, etc. Otherwise you're just drawing bug-eyed kawaii blobs like in your pic.
As for your own style: it will naturally develop on its own over time. You WILL acquire one of your own. Until then, don't be afraid to shamelessly imitate your favorite artists for the sake of learning the fundamentals.
