as with most pretentious music nerds, my journey started on /mu/ about 4 or 5 years ago. and as with anybody who ACTUALLY gets into music, left a year or 2 later.
I've been through a phase of only really listening to that kind of super experimental music concrete / EAI kinda junk, but it gets to a point where you've pretty much heard all those genres can offer. At this point I pretty much just listen to obscure new wave and synth pop.
Stuff near the bottom on this chart isn't all too different from some of the stuff near the middle. Stuff like Antine Beuger, Graham Lambkin, Hong Chulki, and Luc Ferrari among a couple others aren't too different from Hans Krusi, Francois Dufrene, or Joseph Beuys. The only real difference is that they're less heard of / a little weirder in content.
btw Unknown Eskimo DJs aren't actually a thing. The only eskimo music yr gonna hear is actual folk music and that one heavy metal band from nunavut "Northern Haze"
