Not even trying to bait. I just want anime I can actually take seriously for a change. Its not the themes and settings that bother me, its usually the terrible writing that ruins my immersion with almost any show.

I'm not necessarily looking for "mature" anime, just anime with non-retarded writing. Hunter X Hunter for example; generic shonen, but decent writing, so anything goes.
