I do like psychological shows, but I guess what I was getting at was some must-watch animes that nearly everyone likes, but that are still watchable for an outsider of the genre.

You can remove Anohana, it's forgotten and irrelevant.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is also forgotten, and Cromartie High School can have a low priority, it's rarely talked about. Angel Beats has a reputation of being overrated, but it's not that relevant anymore. Yuru Yuri is on a decline, it's a CGDCT show, but it has nothing that will carry it into eternity. If you must replace it with another CGDCT, replace it with Non Non Biyori or Lucky Star. I don't know if Another ever was relevant.

And the genres are completely random.

Air is shit, watching both Fullmetal Alchemists are recommended, Infinite Stratos is just a bad, generic battle harm, Elfen Lied and Higurashi are the prime examples of bad anime for edgy teenagers, and there are probably many other questionable choices too.
And very few of these anime are mandatory.

If you want some really normie anime, you can watch the Ghibli movies. Almost all of them are good, and normies love them.
