yea, I would personally redo it instead of just coloring it. Adobe Illustrator would be great for it, Photoshop I was able to do just that.

for a tip, before scanning in your image, go over it with a pen, preferably one with a small mm tip. it'll scan a lot easier and be much easier to colorize
