Any anime that are good romance/ sad stories?
Or a war style anime army vs army like code geass at times, the legend of arslan, etc.

You may like Drifters. I haven't seen past the first episode but the premise is historical figures getting thrown together in a fantasy world and getting into fights.

How about sad then? I've been dying to find a good sad anime/ manga that would make the waterworks flow. I recently finished reading koe no kitachi and damn that made me sad lol.

Berserk is also great, just don't watch the new series from this summer or the movies
the new series are terrible
the movies are a terrible adaptation of the arc that was already adapted in the 90s show
