What new anime is worth watching? I havent kept up since around haruhi s2 in 2009 (fuck endless eight). Pic related, my collection.
Some favourites are FLCL, Monogatari, Akagi/Kaiji, One Outs, Bebop, Eva, Baccano.
Open to any suggestions, but i guess i like technology/sci-fi with darker themes.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Psycho-Pass. Do not watch the second season of the latter unless you're a masochist. Also Shin Sekai Yori/From the New World, which had a very inventive SF premise and was my anime of the year for 2012.

Texhnolyze is good if you like it REALLY dark.

If you liked Saki, they made two sequels (Achiga and the Nationals) but no further anime since 2013 (we got a live action miniseries and a movie, shudder).

Check also for further sequels if you liked a series that you already watched (Black Lagoon, Chuunibyo, Code Geass (new series coming soon), Durarara!, Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, Genshiken, GitS, etc. etc. etc.)

Bubblegum Crisis came out on BD recently.
