Hey /wsr/ I'm working on my stats homework. It's 3rd week in the semester so it's pretty simple still.

I'm trying to generate random numbers in Excel but I'm sick of it always creating the random numbers on an entirely new worksheet. How do I generate random numbers on the page I'm using, say G1-G4?

ohhhhhhhhh. Ok. I hit that before and it said something like 'invalid range'. It looks like you have to select the squares it'll fill manually.

Makes sense thanks to the G1:G4 you wrote there. Deviously simple I overcomplicated it in my brain.

I am required by the class to use Excel for our homework. The reason is because R is not on the school computers used in the testing center. Since R is not required unless you go into higher division stats classes anyway the teacher has opted to use Excel for simplification.

I'm an Earth Science student anyway, so the chances I'll use R are slim. Matlab and Python are all I'm expected to encounter.
