K-On! is the king of slice of life comedy in my opinion. If you like it you can watch somewhat similar stuff like Yuru Yuri, Yuyushiki, Kiniro Mosaic. I also recommend Binchou-tan and Wakako-zake, which are different but very light and calming (warning though, Binchou-tan can get sad occasionally.) Try looking up anime labeled "iyashikei" (healing).

Evangelion first and foremost if you've never seen it. I also like Ping Pong the Animation.

As for newfag anime recs id say k-on is amazing, you're already enjoying it which is great.

Id recomment FLCL, its 6 episodes but is amazing if you like cool and weird

I've been up the whole day and night so it took long to download and I just wanted to finish it. I enjoyed it a lot. So far clannad is odd but its good in its own way.

I think by far my favorite shows are clannad and k-on I've watch both plus some other shows.

Thanks sorry for so many questions. I've just been watching these shows for pretty much since I posted and some of the jokes are confusing. One thing I see is most of the male protagonists are cowardly its weird. Towards women in the shows I mean not in general.
