Need help with a tech question. So i bought a used computer, i7, it worked completely fine for about two weeks, then it wouldn't start and just got stuck at loading 'Preparing for automatic reperation' screen, i'm thinking it might be the hard-drive failed. I do have another shitty computer with a different drive, but it wouldn't just boot it straight from that when i set it up - same issue. If i installed a fresh copy of say win7 on the new drive, and hooked it up to the computer unable to start properly, would that work, or would it just whipe the drive and still be unable to boot? Can't get it to boot the installation CD, even when adjusting BIOS booting priorities on the new computer. How can i even tell the drive is the problem for sure. Help very much appreciated.
